Yandex Pro is a mobile and web-based application (hereinafter “application” or “applications”) for accessing a wide range of services, including ride-hailing, food and package delivery, e-commerce, and fintech services, and accepting orders from users (hereinafter “customers”) of the Yandex Go mobile and web-based applications.

3.2 This personal data is mandatory to register an account: your name or pseudonym, and a phone number. If you do not provide this information, you will not be able to register your account.

This personal data is mandatory for you to use your account: driving license details, national ID details, and taxi license details. If you do not provide this information, you will not be able to receive orders.

3.3 You may refuse to give your consent to the processing of your personal data, and it will not affect your ability to use our applications. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us or using automated means, if they are available in your application and/or in your country.

3.4 Audio and video recording in a vehicle is an emergency feature. It will only be used in exceptional cases of threat, conflict or danger when the driver activates the Conflict Button in accordance with the Yandex Pro Terms of Use. For dispute resolution and security purposes, both the user and the driver are notified prior to the start of the recording.

4. How Is Your Personal Data Protected?

4.1 We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised, accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, modification, misuse, disclosure or access, and against all other unlawful processing.

4.2 These security measures have been implemented taking into account the state of the art, the cost of implementation, the risks posed by the processing, and the nature of the personal data concerned.

4.3 Personal data is processed automatically without access by our staff in most cases. However, if such access is necessary, your personal data can only be accessed by employees whose duties require the use of this information. These employees are required to follow internal rules and protocols for processing personal data, and to comply with technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data.

5. Who Do We Share Your Personal Data with?

5.1 Your personal data is shared with parties directly involved in the provision of the services within the application:

  • Partners who are involved in obtaining and handling your order, as well as providing software solutions for that purpose;
  • Partners providing payment services, electronic payment functionality, e-wallets services, and mobile money services;
  • Partners who issue virtual bank cards to our users, if this service is offered in the country in which you are using the application;
  • Microfinance institutions that provide loans, if this service is offered in the country in which you are using the application;
  • Partners who carry out anti-money laundering and know your customer verifications;
  • Affiliates who provide authentication tools;
  • Affiliates and third parties who provide us with servers, data storage, and other infrastructure facilities;
  • Affiliates and third parties who assist us with customer support; and
  • Insurance companies.

Not all the entities listed are necessarily involved in the processing of your personal data, as their involvement depends on the service you use and the country where you use it.

5.2 Your personal data is shared with parties entitled to receive your personal data under the law to which the relevant data controller is subject:

  • For example, if law enforcement authorities have a lawful right to have access to your personal data, or financial regulators are duly entitled to investigate suspicious activities or transactions (according to the applicable law in your country and/or the country where our entity providing a service to you is incorporated).

5.3 Your personal data is shared with parties helping us to improve our applications:

  • For example, data about technical errors encountered while using our services are shared with our affiliates who are involved in the development of our applications.

5.4 Your personal data is shared with parties helping us to inform you about products, services, and offers:

The ability to delete data may also be limited by laws relating to freedom of expression and information.

8. What Are Your Rights?

You have a number of rights under privacy laws. The rights you have depend on the purpose for which we process your personal data, and the applicable law.

You can always access, rectify, or erase your personal data yourself after logging into the application using our authentication tool.
